1.5 MAX Social

The 1.5MAX Social will be held this Friday, 12 August, at the Golf Tavern. (7-11pm). It will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends and local climate activists and community organisers. There’ll be poetry, music, drinks and snacks so a great night for all! Plenty of time to meet and chat with local people involved in action around climate, sustainability and education.

Interested students and volunteers are most welcome to come along to talk Climate action, justice and education! Find out more about the 1.5MAX Global Schools’ Climate Summit, which is to be held immediately prior to COP27, and the ways you can get involved.

The 1.5 MAX initiative respects and prioritises the rights and the voices of young people, offering them tools to explore and understand the local, regional, and global issues their generation faces. Empowering young people to become responsible, active-citizens who can address their concerns through positive action for change within their communities is the primary focus of all 1.5 MAX projects.
