Communities Design a New Space for Climate Action in Edinburgh

November 18, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

EVOC and Our Future Edinburgh invite you to a live, interactive workshop where we can explore, together, what is needed to create a new space in Edinburgh where we can all take part in climate and biodiversity actions together.

This is an opportunity for communities to get involved as we work together to design this new participatory space for action on the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency in Edinburgh.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Join us from 6.30pm for the chance to network, with the workshop starting at 7pm.

Hear more about the background and aspirations of an emerging community engagement initiative from EVOC and Our Future Edinburgh (project partners) in which we hope to facilitate a transformative shift within communities where we can better communicate, share and collaborate on the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency.

For this workshop we aim to explore:

  • What kind of space is needed for communities and groups to work together on climate and biodiversity actions?
  • Where a new community space could be situated and how it might interact with local groups and residents.
  • How we can create an open space which is not exclusive and is accessible to people across Edinburgh.

This initiative is supported by The City of Edinburgh Council.
