Road to net zero – Heating our homes through local heat networks

August 1, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Homes are one of the places where we rely on energy for most activities, and we all have a stake in the future of our homes. The UK Climate Change Committee have proposed a series of ‘low regrets’ measures for heat, and in Scotland, there is already a plan in the form of the Heat in Buildings Strategy. This talk will consider what can be done now, by whom, to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions from homes and to ensure we have more resilient housing stock, able to withstand increasing extremes of weather.

Group discussion:

Grab a cuppa and engage with experts in a friendly, relaxed environment. There won’t be any slides, notes or formality here – just the chance to ask questions and listen to some of Scotland’s leading thinkers and practitioners on various subjects.

For group discussions on Zoom, the audience will be visible to others taking part in the event (unless you choose to turn off your camera). To encourage discussion and allow everyone an opportunity to ask questions, we have limited the number of spaces available.

To participate in a group discussion you MUST be aged 16+
